And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: BUT DAVID ENCOURAGED HIMSELF IN THE LORD HIS GOD. -1 Samuel 6:30.
There are some times in everyone's life (I speak of Christians) when we feel discouraged. We have said all the right things which makes anyone who knows us just in church or certain circles where everything seems right will say, "There goes a true man of God."
But there are some times when the pressures of life sets in and it seems like the weight of the world is upon us. We speak "nice" words in public about how we should handle such moments but truth be told, when these hard time hits unexpectedly our reaction most times are shocking to everyone who witness it and we ourselves realize time and time again we still have much work to be done to bring us to that "moment" in our lives. We realize we're still being conformed to the image of God's Son -Rom. 8:29.
We are still being worked on by God and need to find out, what do we need to do to either allow God to do His work in us slowly or what do we need to do to speed up the process because we've been at this point in our lives too long.
Now I need to briefly address those who have given up on us who have these "issues." Those who are judgemental. Please don't pass judgement because God is not through with anyone of us yet. We (including the judgemental ones) are all a work in progress and only God can decide when we are "ready."
God will never give up on any of His creation. He gave Judas every opportunity to turn from His wicked intentions. He did everything He could but Judas made His own choice. He gives everyone the same chance but we have to decide. Peter was a constant failure but Jesus never gave up on Him. Paul (Saul) saw himself as such a failure that he remained in deep depression for very long but God never gave up on him. Whether you've failed at some trials or you're judging someone who has failed, God will save both.
God says in His word ...
'Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.' -Isaiah 41:10.
Prayer: Father while listening to those You may use to correct and encourage us, help us to stay focused on You and to encourage ourselves in You Lord. Grant us wisdom to know and accept when you're using our brother or sister to speak into our lives Lord. Amen.
Encouragement: It doesn't matter who you are or what you've done. God knew you before you came into existence and knows your every fault and every failure. He already planned for every mishap and every major failure in each person's life. He never fails and if you will allow Him He will overpower the enemy and deliver you, ultimately. Glory to God! Hallelujah!!!
