Daily Devotion -God Is Eternal

I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of death -Rev. 1:18.

While in prayer about a matter that troubles me terribly regarding the lifestyle of many of my fellow countrymen and women and the fact that those in authority seem to support this lifestyle wholeheartedly even though most in leadership still practice the proper lifestyle (in regards to this issue), my God spoke to me in the midst of my complaining. He said to me, "Let me take you back to your childhood in the country you were born." Then He showed me the atrocities which were taking place in my country during my childhood. Some I witnessed firsthand others through the different medias.

I was a third generation child at the time. The first generation to face these "hardcore violence" were wounding and sometimes killing each other by cutting with knives, broken pieces of bottles and ice-pricks among other sharp objects, and stoning each other to death. The second generation started out shooting each other with small handguns, then went on to use high power assault weapons and machine guns. By the time the third generation grew up (which I mentioned before that I belonged to), there were a few who were "brainwashed" into believing this was the norm. However the majority of us were tired of this disrespect for the value of human lives and useless killing. We took a stand and brought violence to it's lowest in thirty years. Of course there is the usual flareups but they are quickly extinguished by our generation.

Then the Lord said to me. Have you noticed that most times when the wicked seem to be blossoming among the rest of the world's population, they don't last forever? Then you nead not worry regardless of how things look. Evil may go on for a long time in human eyes but it is fleeting in mine. I am here forever and these times shall pass. A new generation will rise up that includes political leaders who will no longer tolerate this evil that is being embraced by the present generation. As the saying goes: Time is the healer of all wounds (Proverbially speaking).  So when the enemy seem to be spreading his evil wicked wings like a green bay tree. Don't worry. Don't fret. After awhile they are no longer around. Good always outlive and override evil. Lie will parade itself as truth and reach halfway around the world before truth even has a chance to lace up it's bootstraps. But eventually truth will appear and lie will then be extinguished.

Hear the conclusion of the whole matter, fear God and keep His commandments, for this is all that is required of man. God will bring everything into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil (Eccl. 12:13,14).

Prayer: Lord thank you for always having the answer.

Encouragement: Whatever the problem, take it to the Lord in prayer. He's been here forever and will be here forever. He has all the answers because He knows the end form the beginning. He is omniscient.
