Daily Devotion -Who's Your Daddy?

Doubtless You are our Father, though Abraham was ignorant of us, and Israel does not acknowledge us. You, O Lord, are our Father; our Redeemer from everlasting, is Your name -Isaiah 63:16.

Many of us grew up not knowing our earthly (biological) father until later in our lives. Some has never met their father. I didn't meet my father until I was in high school and after that I saw him rarely until he passed away in 1999 form complications with diabetes and emphysema at the age of sixty-one.

God took the role of my father in the household and many things I learned in my single parent home was through the grace of God. The main thing I learned was to do my best to take care of my children when I became a father, and I'm sure God would say I've done well in that corner, thanks to Him.

There are many fathers today like myself who just wants the best for his children and will make the sacrifice to see that his children turn out the best they can. We praise fathers at this time who take the time to nurture and admonish his children in the way God has commanded. To God be all the glory, the honor, and the praise.

Prayer: Lord help us men to be the best father we can be, not only to our children, but to all children. AMEN!!!

Encouragement: Fathers, only your best is good enough. God Bless You!!!
