Where Is This Nation Heading?

Take a stand for what you know is right. Leaders may think they're doing what's best because it's in line with "the norm" or it's what's popular in today's society but take the stand you know is right in God's eyes. He will defend and elevate you for doing what is right and pleasing in His eyes. Remember the three Hebrew men, Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego and the great prophet this book that gives account of these happenings was named after, Daniel? Not only did God bring them through their situations but He elevated them to places of high honor in that kingdom they were captives in.

I (and I know many others do) see the moral fabric of our society (this nation) eroding piece by piece (or state by state) and I know for sure that even if it's not during my generation at some point this nation will deteriorate to lower than a third world country status, or even worse if something is not done soon.

If we, as believers in God's will being done on earth as it is in heaven, do not take the stand right now that will reverse this downward spiral trend this country is in and recapture what has already been taken, then God will have to destroy this nation and all the evil in it in order for His will to be done here on earth as it is in heaven and someone or all of us who call ourselves believers will one day have to give account. We are the watchmen on the wall.

I (and others like myself) who do not have the influence other brethren do, will stay in prayer that the brethren with influence will get the Holy Ghost boldness and/or courage (Acts 4:23-31) to speak to the powers that be to recapture some nationwide honor and respect by reversing these unintelligent and foolish decisions that affect us morally and will affect future generations detrimentally. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal (physical) but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds- 2 Cor. 10:3-4

Daily Devotion -You're An Overcomer

When you find yourself in situations which you have no control, cry out, "Abba, Father, with You all things are possible. Deliver me through this or out of it immediately please. Not my will but thine be done!"
When you find yourself in situations which you have no control, cry out, "Abba, Father, with You all things are possible. Deliver me through this or out of it immediately please. Not my will but thine be done!"
Remember that no weapon formed against you shall prosper.

The Holy Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearningsand groanings too deep for utterance -Rom.8:26.
Some of us need to start pulling down some strongholds in the name of Jesus and plea the blood of Jesus over our household and extended families. The enemy is very busy as he's aware his time is running out. Alkanai undaaa!!!!

Daily Devotion -Abba, Father

For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, Abba, Father," -Rom. 8:15.

We first learned this Aramaic term when Jesus cried out in the Garden of Gethsemane, "Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Take this cup away from Me ; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will." (Mark 14:36). In both instances we see a deep, compassionate way in which the term is and should be used. God knows us intimately. He knows us more closely than anyone else ever could and ever will. He knows us better than we know ourselves. He made everyone of us and who knows anyone or anything better than it's maker.

He is our creator and our sustainer. He takes care of us better than our parents do and when parents are gone, He's the only one who does that role well in our eyes. That's when we become aware of His everlasting presence which was there all along before we became aware. HE IS OUR FATHER. Our ABBA, FATHER. Hallowed be Your name our Abba, our Father. Your kingdom come and Your will be done here on earth as it is in heaven. Abba, Father, not our will but thine be done.

Prayer: Our Father, we bless Your Name for Who you were, Who You are, and Who You forever will be. Abba, Father, from everlasting to everlasting. You have no granchildren. All are Your children. Red, yellow, black and white, we're all precious in Your sight. You made all things well. Thank You Abba Father. In our Savior and Lord name we pray as joint-heirs with Him, Jesus, Amen!!!

Encouragement: It's feels so good to be a part of the family of God. Aren't you glad that you're a part too?

Daily Devotion -He's Our Shepherd And Our Father

The Lord is my Shepherd
I shall not want.
He makes to lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside still water
He restores my soul

He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name sake
Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I will fear no evil
For You are with me
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me

You prepare a table before me
In the presence of my enemies
You anoint my head with oil
My cup runs over
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life
And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen

Daily Devotion -Enter His Gates With thanksgiving

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord,
All ye lands,
Serve the Lord with gladness
Come before His presence with singing
Know ye that the Lord is good
It is He Who hath made us and not we ourselves
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture
Enter into HIs gates with thanksgiving
And into His courts with praise
Be thankful unto Him and bless His name
For the Lord is good His mercy is everlasting
And His truth endures to all generations.

Daily Devotion -Our Father

Our Father,
Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name,
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
Forgive us this day our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom
And the power
And the glory,
Forever, Amen!!!

Daily Devotion -Who's Your Daddy?

Doubtless You are our Father, though Abraham was ignorant of us, and Israel does not acknowledge us. You, O Lord, are our Father; our Redeemer from everlasting, is Your name -Isaiah 63:16.

Many of us grew up not knowing our earthly (biological) father until later in our lives. Some has never met their father. I didn't meet my father until I was in high school and after that I saw him rarely until he passed away in 1999 form complications with diabetes and emphysema at the age of sixty-one.

God took the role of my father in the household and many things I learned in my single parent home was through the grace of God. The main thing I learned was to do my best to take care of my children when I became a father, and I'm sure God would say I've done well in that corner, thanks to Him.

There are many fathers today like myself who just wants the best for his children and will make the sacrifice to see that his children turn out the best they can. We praise fathers at this time who take the time to nurture and admonish his children in the way God has commanded. To God be all the glory, the honor, and the praise.

Prayer: Lord help us men to be the best father we can be, not only to our children, but to all children. AMEN!!!

Encouragement: Fathers, only your best is good enough. God Bless You!!!

Daily Devotion -WE ARE IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE

This is a spiritual warfare we're in and we can not for one second let down our guard. For we know that the enemy goes to and fro roaming this earth as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Therefore let the mighty strength of the Lord make you strong. Put on the whole armor of God so you can defend yourself against the devil's tricks.
We are not fighting against flesh and blood (humans). We are fighting against forces and authorities and against rulers of darkness and against powers in the spiritual world. So put on all the armor that our God gives. Then when that evil day comes, you will be able to defend yourself. And when the battle is over, you will be standing firm.
Remember in the midst of every battle that no temptation has come upon you that is not common to mankind. God can be trusted and He is faithful to His word and to His compassionate nature not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure. With the temptation He will (always)also provide a means of escape or a way out that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under each trial patiently.
Finally, with this whole armor of God, that is, the breastplate of righteousness, the helmet of Salvation, the belt of truth, the footwear of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the sword of the spirit which is the Word of God and prayer, keep in mind that though we walk in the flesh, we're not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons here.
The weapons of our warfare are not physical, but they mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds. We refute arguments and theories and reasoning and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the true knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

Prayer: Father let us not confuse our duty in Your Kingdom nor let our guard down at anytime. Amen.

Encouragement: Be encouraged, our heavenly Father has everything covered for us in this spiritual warfare.

Daily Devotion -The Day Of Pentecost

Today is the anniversary of the day of Pentecost and the reason for us Christians celebrating this day with the Jews is outlined in the book of the Acts of the Apostles chapter 2...
On the day of Pentecost all the Lord's followers were together in one place. Suddenly there was a noise from heaven like the sound of a mighty wind! It filled the house where they were meeting. Then they saw what looked like fiery tongues moving in all directions, and a tongue came and settled on each person there. The Holy Spirit took control of everyone and they began speaking whatever languages the Spirit let them speak.
Many religious Jews from every country in the world were living in Jerusalem. And when they heard this noise a crowd gathered. But they were surprised because they were hearing everything in their own languages.
They were excited and amzed and said, "Dont all these who are speaking come from Galilee? Then why do we hear them speaking our own languages? Some of us are from Parthia, Media, and Elam. Others are from Mesopotamia, Judea, Cappadocia, Pontus, Asia, Phrygia, Pamphylia, Egypt, parts of Lybia, near Cyrene, Rome, Crete and Arabia. Some of us were born Jews, and others of us have chosen to be Jews. Yet we all hear them using our own languages to tell the wonderful things God has done."
Everyone was excited and confused. Some of them even kept asking each other, "What does all this mean?"
Others made fun of the Lord's followers and said, "They are drunk." {Acts 2:1-13 (CEV)}.
We have a great reason to celebrate the day of Pentecost as this was the day Jesus' church which He said He would build started. It's on the solid rock of Jesus Christ and the gates of hell has not and will never prevail against it. Glory to God!!!

Prayer: Father continue to reveal to us your church, Your will for us and grant us the power and strength to continue steadfast in Your purpose. Amen!!!

Encouragement: Remain steadfast, unmovable in the work for which you were called, knowing that He who began this good work in you will complete it.

Daily Devotion -No Evil Can Harm Us

No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling -Psalm 91:10

Have you ever noticed that we go through many hardships in life both before coming to our Lord and Savior and since being with Him. The difference between before and after receiving Jesus Christ is His presence. He promised never to leave us nor forsake us. When you're up against the enemy you notice they can not befall us for greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

Sometimes the enemy may use people close to you or people in position of power to try to hurt you or try to destroy you but remember also, it doesn't matter how many there are against you or how much authority they seem to have, your Savior and Lord has all power. And The host that you can only see through spiritual eyes that are with us are greater in number and power than those we see with natural eyes who are against us. So there's no reason to fear or fret, God hasn't failed any of His children yet, and will never fail even one, because He can do everything but fail. There's none that has fallen from His hand, no, not even one.

Therefore, be not dismayed whatever betides, God will take care of you. Beneath His wings of love abide, He will take care of you. No evil can befall you and no plague shall come near your dwelling for God has His plan in place and His army of angels surround you keeping you safe from all harm. He is the Almighty God and there's no other god like our God. None can dare defy Him.

Prayer: Lord, remind us continuously while going through any hardship or facing any opposition that You're with us and like lions the enemy may roar but can not bite. The enemy may send wild threats but can never execute them because You're with us. Your rod and Your staff comforts us. Amen.

Encouragement: Don't ever be afraid, our God is always with us protecting us so no evil can ever harm us.

Daily Devotion - Faith Not Fear

For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, of love and a sound mind -2 Tim. 1:7.

Fear is the opposite of faith and where faith is there is no fear. If faith is from God then fear is from the devil and if God moves on our faith then the devil moves on our  fear. The devil will try to get us to believe in his lies which develops fear and fear causes us to worry about things that have absolutely no impact on our lives or our future wellbeing. The solution is to pray rather than worry and the devil with his source of fear will flee from us.

Draw nigh unto the Lord in prayer and He will draw nigh unto you. Then submit yourselves to God and resist the devil and he will flee. Give no place to the devil. Remember, he is like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. The word of God says he is like a roaring lion not that he is a roaring lion. There is a big difference. You see, he has the ability to drive fear in someone if that person will allow him, but he is harmless. He roars but that's as far as his intimidation skills go. No further.

Resist him when you submit yourself to God and he will flee. As far as defeating him totally goes, just build up your faith in God. Without faith it is impossible to please God for him that cometh to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek HIm.

Prayer: God please keep reminding us that faith dispells fear and prayer removes all worrying which is the product of fear. Amen.

Encouragement: There is absolutely nothing to fear when you believe in God. Perfect love casts out all fear.

Daily Devotion -Not By Might

Then he said to me, "This is the word to Zerubbabel: 'not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the Lord Almighty." - Zech. 4:6.

Whenever we are up against challenges (and we most certainly will) the answer is not to try to overcome by our might nor by our power (do not try to go up against anything in our own strength). God is our refuge and strength, our very present help in the time of trouble (Psalm 46:1), Success or victory will never be achieved when we're up against the enemy of darkness except by God's Spirit because it's not by might nor by power but by God's Spirit.

For over twenty years the children of Israel had postponed the rebuilding of the temple to the point that everything they tried to achieve in life was being hindered by their fear and procrastination. Then God decided to explain and encourage the leaders (ie. Zerubbabel the governor and Joshua the priest) to gather the people and resume the building of the temple so their blessings may be released. God chose Haggai and Zechariah, His prophets to prophesy and encourage the people of Israel to work.

The task was finished so quickly and everyone from other nations who opposed the work, were silenced. When God gets ready to move nothing nor noone can stand in His way for its not by might nor by power but by His Spirit.

Prayer: Lord teach us to trust and obey you in everything you require of us as you know the effective way to get things done. Amen.

Encouragement: Does anything seem difficult or even impossible because of the opposition. Leave it in God's hands and just do what He tells you to do. Our extremities are His opportunities and our impossibilities His possibilities.

Elder M. A. Johnson Sr.'s View on The Endtimes

There seem to be a lot of tornadoes lately. Not too long ago there were a number of earthquakes, some accompanied by tsunamis. Then there are volcanoes some disrupting airplane flights in certain regions preventing thousands from getting home from vacations and others from keeping tight business schedules. Then there are wars and unrest in many countries in the middle east, on the continent of Africa and in other regions here on earth.

Anything sounds familiar here? Yes, of course. The last days prophecies as outlined in the Holy Bible. Prophecies being fulfilled. But wait a minute! Dont be fooled by anyone. These are just signs that the Lord's return is at hand. After all, these are the last of the last days. Remember Jesus said no man knows the day nor the hour. Therefore if anyone says to you behold Jesus has appeared in one place or another. DO NOT BELIEVE IT!!! As the lightening strikes in the east and it is seen in the west, so shall the coming of the Son of Man be.

When our Jesus returns we will know right away, not before. Therefore if someone says the world is coming to an end on whatever day, month, date and year, do not believe it!!! Jesus, our Lord and Savior says not even He knows when this will be. Only the Father knows and has kept it from everyone. His coming shall be like a thief in the night. If the watchman knew at what hour the the thief comes he would have stayed up and prepare himself for such a moment. Because He doesn't know, he is caught off-guard. Watch and be prepared at all times, for you know not when God will return. WATCH!!!
