Because He Lives

Because He lives I can face tomorrow
Because He lives all fears are gone
Because I knoo-oo-oow He holds the future
My life is worth living just because He lives

It is because of Him I can wake up each morning
It is because of Him I am in my right mind
It is because of Him I have clean air in the atmosphere to breathe
It is because of Him why I exist today

No one can let me doubt my Savior and Lord
No one can tell me He is not alive
No one can prove me wrong for believing
No one has ever proved Him wrong since He died

He is my Savior, who rose from the dead, my keeper and Lord
He is my redeemer who lives forevermore
He is my healer, my deliverer, my one and only eternally
He is ever living, ever true, ever sure for all eternity.

I am still here because He lives
I am a living testimony because He lives
I have abundant life because He lives along all shore
I was given mercy and grace because He lives forever more. 

We Belong To You

Before I was created You saw me
Before I was formed You knew me
As I exited my mother's womb You ordained and sanctified me
You fearfully and wonderfully made me

You sanctified and ordained me a prophet to nations
You have been doing this to your elect for generations
To each one you made your angel was stationed
To protect from all enemies with destructive intention

To all your plans what is your children response
We feed on milk before learning to pick up our weapons
Prayer, praise, You Word, faith, and so much more
They work for every child of God, rich or poor.

Jesus in your name we can do all things
At your feet your child comes, all sacrifice brings
Your name, Your blood is so powerful for our use
Jesus we're Yours Lord, Your vessels to use.

He Knows You

He knows you
And He loves you
He will always be there for you
He will never leave or forsake you

You are fearfully and wonderfully made
He sees you there under the shade
He knows you're not at your best right now
And he knows when you're putting on a show

Don't think for one moment that anything passes Him
He is able and willing to do for you anything, just trust Him
He knows your going out and your coming in
He knows your end from your beginning

Only trust and obey your creator
In your God, you will never be an imitator
Everything He does with you is original
And His solid and powerful Word is eternal

He Does All Things Well

He looked very tired and frail
He was on a very long and punishing trail
He had been through a mock trial all night
Beaten without mercy was only a part of His plight

Down the Villa De La Rosa He journeyed
Bloody, and bruised and weary
He could hardly breathe as He looked around
His body was beaten to a pulp but His face had no frown

His skin was so bloody, it was barely visible
Hard to believe He was God invincible
On His face where His beard and sideburns had been
It was now only raw flesh and blood to be seen

He stumbled down the pathway to Golgotha's mountain
From there would be penned the song of a bloody fountain
Where sinners plunge beneath that flood lose all guilty stain
Someone was ordered to help, it was only humane
 
The Holy Spirit quickly inspired man to put pen to paper
To the natural man these words were like vapor
As man put words on paper convincing words were written
Those who believed within their spirits were truly smitten.

Must Jesus bear the cross alone and all the world go free,
There is a cross for everyone including you and me.
And when I survey the wondrous cross on which the prince of glory died
My richest gain I count but loss and pour contempt on all my pride.

The first chance He got to speak to His mother Mary
As she bent down to wipe His bloody face, earlier hairy
He spoke triumphantly while forcing a smile
"Look mother, I'm doing a new thing, it will happen in just a little while."

Another Year

It's out with the old in with the new
Resolutions are being made and not just a few
Some have done this so often in the past
They are now just a moment hoping to last

Ten nine eight seven six five
For this new year coming many wont be alive
four three two one and then the start
A new year begins with a resounding blast

Hugs and kisses between loving partners
What a way to start this new year not just for starters
Some have been together for years some are golden
Some do have their partnership engraved or molden

Some are career minded what a challenge for others
Many just take time in strides with not one bother
So, it's a new year with a repeat of all the holidays they say
Another 365 days to do it all over the same way.

The Reason For This Season

It's Christmas night and the thought is clear.
Baby Jesus was born in manger tonight.
His parents were in the stable,
They were told there was no room in the inn.

Was there really no room or
Were His parents appearance not fitting for the inn.
Whatever the reason, had it been known who was about to be born
Room would be made for Him that night.

It's not for us to judge and give our views.
God's plan is fulfilled just the way He would have it.
God's plan is for Jesus to enter the world in humility.
Then rise to glory.

His ways are above our ways
His thoughts are far above our thoughts
God doesn't see the way man sees
Man looks on the outside
God sees the inside, God sees the heart

God looked down through two thousand years and saw the need of you and I
God knew it didn't matter how Jesus was born
God knew that Jesus being born was important
God also knew that the reason for Jesus birth, was essential for you and I

Smile Awhile

You know, it is said, laughter is good medicine
It takes a lot more muscle in the face to make a frown
And a lot less muscle to turn that frown upside down
I bet holding that frown for awhile feels like a lot of work on the face
Why not ease the pressure and send that frown to some other place

Each day lets greet each person we see with a big beautiful smile
You can say something encouraging, even shake a hand, don't say you can't
You know, a hug can make a big difference too, just try it for awhile
You'll be surprise to hear the response, it might be just what people want

Smile awhile, you'll find it soothing, healing and relaxing
Smile awhile, everyone will see you're genuine not acting
Smile awhile, it costs nothing but is a rich gift to give
Smile awhile, you'll find it's the best way to live.
