I Need You

As the deer pants for the water so my soul longs for you
You alone are my heart's desire and I long to worship you
You alone are my strength and shield, to you alone does my spirit yields

Hear my cry oh Lord, attend unto my prayer
From the ends of the earth will I cry unto thee
When my heart is overwhelmed,
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I

O God, You are my God; early will I seek You;
My soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You
In a dry and thirsty land where there is no water.
So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed,
And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling.

I am under the rock, the rock is higher than I
Jehovah hides me, I am under the rock
Go tell my enemies, I am under the rock
Jehovah hides me I am under the rock

Lord you are my shepherd, I am never in wants
You make me to lie down in green pastures, you lead me beside still waters
You restore my soul. You lead me in the paths of righteousness, for your name's sake
Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil
For you are with me comforting me with your rod and staff
You prepare tables before me in the presence of mine enemies
You anoint my head with oil, my cup runs over
Surely! Surely! SURELY!!!! Goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.
And I will dwell in the house of my Lord forever. 

I cannot do this without you. No man is an island, no man stands alone
I can do all things through you. Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him.
And a threefold cord is not quickly broken. I need You!!! 

The Journey

Got saved at the alter
Everyone is jubilant
The host of heaven rejoices
All is well

Given handshakes from everyone
Right after the baptism
Received into fellowship
This is real it's no sham

Now I'm at home
Away from everyone
Friends from the world come calling
Lets go have some fun

It now seems hard to live this life
It's like giving up fun for boredom
Then the minister notices
On your face the sign of a burden

With you he opens a conversation
One that contradicts so called friends opinion
He tells you this life God just began
In you is a journey many have won

You see, sometimes there will be ups
And sometimes there will be downs
Sometimes you'll feel like you're on a mountain
Too hard for you to go up so it's easier to go back down

Just remember you have a friend
Who will never leave you alone
Life may sometimes seem like troubled waters
He will be the bridge for you to cross over

It doesn't matter what the circumstances may be like
Be encouraged, He has all the answers in your life
He made you and knows everything about you
He will certainly to the end see you through.  

His Divine Plan

First there was Adam
Then the help meet for him called Eve
Adam knew Eve and they bore sons
Sons Got married and wives conceived

As they were commanded they multiplied and replenished the earth
Then came Abraham and there were many descendants
Eventually many nations came into existence
Nations rose up against other nations as more sons were birthed

There has been wars for centuries now
Nations falling to other nations while others became superior
In the midst of all this ongoing world feud came our creator
He came to fulfill his divine order He came as our Savior... wow

He did not come to save one nation from another
He did not come to save one race from another either
Neither did He come on this globe to save one region from another
He came for a cause that was bigger and mightier

Mightier than any man on earth could achieve
The eternal creator required a penalty no man could qualify to pay
He knew this whole catastrophe before it was conceived
He had a divine plan to settle this account His way

The Son was the only one worthy from before the foundation of the world
To pay the debt He didn't owe
He was the only one worthy from before the foundation of the world
To lay down His life for a world of sin sick souls. 

The Stranger

He created the entire universe
The whole world, the sea and land are in His hand
He made the  fowls of the air, the fish in the sea, the creatures on the land
Then He said everything is good now let us make man

By Him everything was made that was made
Without Him nothing was made that was made
He was in the beginning and part of a divine delegation
He was a part of the trinity, Father, Son, Holy Spirit, the three in one

At the end of creation of everything including the creation of man
Everything was looked at that sixed day and there was a proclamation
Everything is very, very good just as planned and made
This entire creation is top of the line, it's first grade

Centuries later He came to His own but they received Him not
He came in the dark of night in a stable on a lot
In Him was life and that life was the light of men
He's the same now and forever as He was then

This stranger loves and cares so much for us
He demonstrated the greatest love anyone could have for us
Greater love has no one than this man
When He laid down his life for the whole race of humans 

The Cross

It was a symbol of destruction
It brought to families devastation
It was no different for the Lord
His mother and entire family and friends thought it hard

The cross signified a curse
To those crucified from the first
But when that cross bore our Lord until He died
The curse was removed and the cross was now glorified

Quickly pen was put to paper thereafter
And beautiful word appeared from the Holy drafter
When I survey the wondrous cross on which the prince of glory died
My richest gain I count but loss and pour contempt on all my pride

Even words that revealed our duty
For it was for us He paid the booty
Must Jesus bear the cross alone and all the world go free
There's a cross for everyone and surely, there's a cross for me
