Verse of the Day

“Thus says the LORD, who makes a way in the sea And a path through the mighty waters, “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:16, 18-19 NKJV

Today's Scripture

John 14:1-6

New King James Version (NKJV)

The Way, the Truth, and the Life

14 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions;[a] if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.[b] 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Verse of the Day

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28 NKJV

Aah yes. Rest for the weary soul. The rock in a weary land. The shelter in a time of a storm. The bridge over troubled waters. The water in the desert. The light at the end of the dark tunnel. He provides it all. What do you need? Are you tired? Weary? Cumbered with a lot of cares? Shackled by a heavy burden? Beneath a mountain of troubles?  Then turn to the Savior. He'll be whatever you want him to be. He has the solution to every problem. He wants you and you need Him. Don't turn Him away...

Verse of the Day

“[Praise for the LORD’s Mercies] A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:” Psalm 103:1-2 NKJV

1 John 5

New King James Version (NKJV)
5 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our[a] faith. 5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

We Will Not Relent

I may not be fasting 24/7 now but haven't stopped fasting and praying for God to work on the release of Jason Kent. (Matthew 19:26).

Jason could do a lot more good to society as a free man than incarcerated. Much has happened since he went to prison and many who encountered Jason while locked up themselves has changed as a result of their encounter with him.

Because of Jason two young ladies (older is now about eighteen years old) were saved from losing their innocence and now live decent lives. Jason should be considered a kindhearted young man for sparing these two young ladies who were once his step daughters, the agony of a defeated lifestyle, to become the respected young ladies they are today. Had it not been for Jason they probably would have turned into victims of prolonged abuse which sometimes result in prostitution or even worse due to low self esteem and victims of guilt mentality(from their abuse).

Thank you Jason. We will not stop praying until our prayers are answered. Please God do whatever it takes, leave no stone unturned to FREE JASON KENT. WIth You all things are possible(Matthew 19:26).

The Proclamation of The Immaculate Conception

“[Christ’s Birth Announced to Mary] Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”” Luke 1:26-28 NKJV

Today's Scripture

“And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. So they said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet: ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, Are not the least among the rulers of Judah; For out of you shall come a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel.’”” Matthew 2:4-6 NKJV

When The Time Is Right

“But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.” Galatians 4:4-5

God does nothing before the time. He loves us so much that He will turn up late (in our eyes) when we desperately need Him (John 11).

A songwriter says, "He may not come when we want Him, but He'll be there right on time. Because He's an ontime God, yes He is."

There has been some moments in my life when He showed up late (in my eyes) but when He did He took care of the matter and everything was alright thereafter.

Prayer: Lord thank you for showing up especially when in our eyes You were running late. Thank You for helping us to understand (through your actions) that You showed up just at the right time.

Encouragement: Trust in the Lord and whatever He promised. It may seem to be taking such a long time that you may think He either forgot or changed His mind. God never does any of those. He never forgets and never goes back on His word. If He said that He would do it, it will SURELY come to pass.

God is at Work in Our LIves & No Opposition Can Stop Him

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.”
(Isaiah 43:19, NIV)

No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the Lord. (Isa. 54:17, NKJV)

The Rich Man and Lazarus

19 “There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. 20 But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, 21 desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell[d] from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

24 “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ 25 But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. 26 And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’

27 “Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, 28 for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’ 29 Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ 30 And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ 31 But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’”

Today's Scripture

"I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.” John 10:14-15 NKJV

Today's Scripture

I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:7, 9-10 NKJV

“[The Day of the Lord] But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. 2 Corinthians 4:8-18

New King James Version (NKJV)
8 We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— 10 always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. 11 For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 12 So then death is working in us, but life in you.
13 And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,”[a] we also believe and therefore speak, 14 knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus, and will present us with you. 15 For all things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.

Seeing the Invisible

16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Verse of the Day

“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.” Hebrews 12:28 NKJV

No Other God Like Our God

There is no other God like our God. In fact, there is no other God besides our God. Our God is the only true and living God and He is an awesome God. He reigns from heaven above with wisdom power and love. Our God loves us so much. He amazes us with His love. He is the only true and living God and He reigns forever and ever.
He is Lord of Salvation and Lord of our lives. He is Lord of the land and the sea. He is Lord of creation before we were created. And Lord of all lords He will be forever and ever.
We will praise You our Lord and our God with every breath that we take. We will praise You Lord, this promise we make. And should eternity end, and start all over again, even then, we will continue to praise You Lord. Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah!!!!!

Our God is Awesome!!!

I love the Lord with my whole heart, soul and mind. He hears my every beckon call. He comes to my rescue every time. He loves me more than I will ever know. His plans for me are more than the eye has seen, more than the ear has heard or more than the mind can conceive. He is marvelous. He is wonderful. His name is above every name. At His name every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that He, Jesus Christ is LORD OF ALL!!!!!

Verse of the Day

“God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend. For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth’; Likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength.” Job 37:5-6 NKJV

TRUSTING GOD AND WAITING ON HIM

About to complete seven days of fasting and prayer this evening. Waiting on the Lord for direction now. About to find out how awesome He is. Told me to do this and then watch him work wonders so I'm waiting to see Him in action.

Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105 NKJV

Please Free Jason Kent. We're Fasting And Praying

This is my fifth day of a 24 hr per day fast with no food or drink. I am fasting and praying to God for one thing that I've been praying for over 17 years now. But since I started my fast something keep coming up in the back of my head that I need to pray for someone else as well as myself. Someone who needs God's help probably more desperately than I do. And this morning it came to me through a program on Daystar television network. I also saw one of the main reason the Lord had me take my family fom up north to Orlando Florida.
Before I begin my discourse I wish to let the family of the victim in this matter know that my heart goes out to you all and you have my deepest sympathy.
Jason Kent has been incarcerated for over 12 1/2 years for first degree murder. He has been given a sentence which noone leaves prison except in a body bag (commonly referred to as a toe-tag sentence).
When I asked God how can my prayers help while hearing his mother say the crime was premeditated. God reminded me of an incident in my past when my nineteen year old daughter then got pregnant (while in college upstate New York) by a twenty-seven year old man from the bronx. I drove from Melville on Long Island to Metropolitan Oval in the Bronx to meet this young man face to face for the first time. A lot of thoughts went through my mind that evening. I had no idea how I was going to handle the situation. I felt like I failed to protect my famiy.
At that moment God let me know that Jason was going through the same experience on that 6 1/2 hours drive fom Panama City to Orlando that evening. The difference between he and I was, my oldest child was nineteen yrs old, and his oldest child was 6yrs old and, I prayed for God to take control of the situation that evening and Jason probably did not.
Jason may have wanted to talk to this other gentleman, his wife's ex-husband and his wife's children's father but when the thought of the aleged abuse of his family (April his wife, his 6 yr old Chelsea and her younger sister Anna, the two daughters) at the hands of this ex-husband came to the forefront of his mind, he lost control and his military training and experience kicked in to protect his family by all means necessary (instead of letting God take control).
I respectfully ask for a second chance for Jason  and consequently, Jason's immediate release from prison as this young man has learned his lesson and has paid over and over again to society from where he is. Look at the many young men he has poured into (over 500 former inmates) who left prison and has become valuable members of society and contributed positively.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, give Jason Kent a second chance, so he may go home to his mother, Carol Kent and her husband Jean Kent and he can make a positive impact in society. Please don't let a naval officer and young man with great potential waste his life away in prison because he made one mistake in an attempt to protect the innocent and helpless as he was taught to in the military. There are good men who make terible mistakes in society but when given a second chance they certainly capitalize and do much better than they were doing before their mishap. I will continue to fast and pray for Jason Kent's release. Take Michael Vick as an example of a positive turn around.

Verse of the Day

Jesus Showed Us!!!

Mark 10:45(NKJV)

45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

John 13:17

17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

Philippians 2:3-5

3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

The Humbled and Exalted Christ

5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,

Even though God created and controls the world, He did not demand that fallen humanity serve Him. Instead Jesus invited us to serve Him by modeling His lifestyle for us; He spent himself in the act of serving us. He wants us to put the interest of other people ahead of our own. He informed us that the only way to be first in His kingdom was to be last (Mark 9:35)

Jesus wants us to guard against an inflated sense of our own importance.

3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith -Rom. 12:3.

For who makes you differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did indeed receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it? -1 Cor. 4:7.

We are to live our lives with the servant attitude exemplified by Jesus Christ Himself when He stooped to wash the disciples' dusty feet (John 13:14-15).

Strive To Be Like Jesus

Philippians 2:5-8

New King James Version (NKJV)

The Humbled and Exalted Christ

5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

3 He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
6 The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
8 The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.

Are You A Grasshopper?

Numbers 13:30-14:10

New King James Version (NKJV)
30 Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”
31 But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.” 32 And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. 33 There we saw the giants[a] (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”

Israel Refuses to Enter Canaan

14 So all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night. 2 And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, “If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness! 3 Why has the Lord brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?” 4 So they said to one another, “Let us select a leader and return to Egypt.”
5 Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel.
6 But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had spied out the land, tore their clothes; 7 and they spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying: “The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land. 8 If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, ‘a land which flows with milk and honey.’[b] 9 Only do not rebel against the Lord, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the Lord is with us. Do not fear them.”
10 And all the congregation said to stone them with stones. Now the glory of the Lord appeared in the tabernacle of meeting before all the children of Israel.

Who's Going To Throw The First Stone?

“He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.”-John 8:7b.
Election is in the air. Today is Monday October 22nd and in two weeks from tomorrow, on Tuesday November 6th (my son, Kwayne's 22nd birthday), Americans will cast their vote for the next President or the continuation of the current President.

Having been in this country 17+ years now and not able to vote, I still believe I have a say as what happens does affect me while I'm here.

I have a personal experience with the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as I was pursued by a group of Mormons in the nineties before becoming a minister of the gospel. Mormons came to my home and we sat down and compare literature from the book of mormons and they even came to the church I was attending and sat in the front row while service was in full "swing."

I realised how determined these young men were and soon discovered after watching a documentary on cults of the world who the mormons truly were. It took a while but God opened up my eyes to see who the Mormons, Jehovah's witnesses, muslims, seikhs and other religions truly were. Some of which I had already known of course.

I know of a certainty that whoever gets elected may not be influenced by their religion in their day to day decision making process. However I must interject here that as Christians we need to realise that unless the Lord is in the building of the house those who labor, labor in vain.

Our current President has professed he is a Christian and he may have made some questionable decisions as well as carried out some actions that make us cringe at the idea of him professing to be a Christian but you know what? We are not here to judge him. We're supposed to love him (John 13:34-35) and pray for him (James 5:16). After all we don't want to fall into temptation ourselves (Gal.6:1).

Therefore let us rally behind the one who is truly backed by our God because noone is perfect. All Catholics and Protestants, all Charismatics and Evangelicals, all who have a right to vote and know who is the right choice. Go out and make your vote count make your choice be heard and make God pleased. Do the right thing on November 6th. We are Christians by our love for one another and we talk with God about strengthening each other where we're weak. Let us make our God proud by obeying his every command concerning our brothers and sisters. God bless each and everyone. God bless America!

God’s Everlasting Love

26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us[b] with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:
“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”[c]

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

A New Dimension In God

It's a new season. Some of God's children have come to realize that they're in this new season but don't know what exactly this means. It's a new level, a new dimension in God. This means new devils to deal with. Also these devils hit harder approach smarter and if one fails against them this can be devastating because these devils know that once you get to this level it means breakthrough to the most fulfilling moment in your walk with God. Therefore their intent is to destroy you, forever.

It's a new dimension so don't be discouraged when you fail. Don't give up. Don't quit. Most of all don't listen to that devil. He knows just when to tempt you to give up or even try to annahialate you by getting you to do the things that will destroy you. Don't listen to them. Cry out to God even if it's from your heart (internally). He will come to your rescue. Then try your best to learn from each mistake. So when faced with this again you will know how to get through it successfully. And most important, never forget that Jesus is with you always (Matthew 28:20). He will not give up on you, never!

Our God Is Faithfull

Lamentations 3:22-23(NKJV)

22 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.

Intercessory Prayer

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

You Shall Receive Power From The Holy Spirit

Acts 1

New King James Version (NKJV)

Prologue

1 The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, 2 until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, 3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

The Holy Spirit Promised

4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” 6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me[a] in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Don't Take Your Holy Spirit

Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways,
And sinners shall be converted to You.

No More Than We Can Bear

1 Corinthians 10:13

New King James Version (NKJV)
13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

Hebrews 10:5-10

5 Therefore, when He came into the world, He said:
“Sacrifice and offering You did not desire,
But a body You have prepared for Me.
6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin
You had no pleasure.
7 Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come—
In the volume of the book it is written of Me—
To do Your will, O God.’”[a]

8 Previously saying, “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law), 9 then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God.”[b] He takes away the first that He may establish the second. 10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

The New Covenant

Jeremiah 31:31

New King James Version (NKJV)

A New Covenant

31 “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah—

Hebrews 8
New King James Version (NKJV)

The New Priestly Service

8 Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, 2 a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man.
3 For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices. Therefore it is necessary that this One also have something to offer. 4 For if He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are priests who offer the gifts according to the law; 5 who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, “See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”[a] 6 But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.

A New Covenant

7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. 8 Because finding fault with them, He says: “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah 9 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 11 None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds[b] I will remember no more.”[c]
13 In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

Hebrews 10

New King James Version (NKJV)

Animal Sacrifices Insufficient

10 For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.

Christ’s Death Fulfills God’s Will

Christ’s Death Perfects the Sanctified

11 And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, 13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. 14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
15 But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before,
16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,”[c] 17 then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”[d] 18 Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.

Hold Fast Your Confession

19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

The Just Live by Faith

26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,”[e] says the Lord.[f] And again, “The Lord will judge His people.”[g] 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
32 But recall the former days in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a great struggle with sufferings: 33 partly while you were made a spectacle both by reproaches and tribulations, and partly while you became companions of those who were so treated; 34 for you had compassion on me[h] in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your goods, knowing that you have a better and an enduring possession for yourselves in heaven.[i] 35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:
37 “For yet a little while,
And He[j] who is coming will come and will not tarry.
38 Now the[k] just shall live by faith;
But if anyone draws back,
My soul has no pleasure in him.”[l]
39 But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.
